The Treehouse

Today started out looking like it was going to be a horrible day. Daniel was falling apart over everything so I decided to take them to the Children's Museum here in Ogden called the Treehouse. We almost didn't make it because he just couldn't stop falling apart. We got there and "wha la" a brand new kid. He didn't have time to fall apart as there was so much to see and do.

First Stop: Fire Engine

Although they had dress up clothes throughout the museum this is about the only time Daniel thought it would be cool to dress up. He played for a long time here and it was really nice that we got there when it first opened so that he had it all to himself for awhile.

Tea anyone?

This was the kitchen area and the kids really enjoyed it. Adjoining it is the doctors office/hospital where they could pretend they were doctors and take care of new born baby dolls. Daniel thought that it was a lot of fun to use the stethoscope on someone else rather than it being used on him for once.
Reagan's favorite place was the music room where they had drums and tambourines, marimbas and a few other percussion instruments.

Daniel sailed the rivers with Lewis and Clark.

Meanwhile Reagan became the next President of the United States. Here's former President Obama welcoming her to her new office.
Daniel thought he would challenge Reagan to a game of chess. He should have known better. She brought out the big pieces and she won.
Daniel's favorite place was playing with the knights and the castles. He stayed there a really long time.
Meanwhile Reagan decided being the first woman and youngest President wasn't enough. She became Queen.
There is so much more here than I have room to show you or time to tell. There were no more melt downs (that is until we got home for lunch). The kids had a great time. If you're ever in Ogden I would highly recommend stopping.
