Potter's Marsh

I have been bad about posting on here, it's not that we haven't been doing things it's just that we've been very busy and I usually forget the camera. After much prodding from my sister April I'm back with pictures.
Our adventures took us today to Potter's Marsh which is just south of Anchorage. We went with some friends and the kids had a great time. You have the ocean on one side of the road and the marsh on the other. The boardwalk was great for them to run on as it's all enclosed and they couldn't go anywhere. Except up and over which as you can see they did try. We didn't see a lot of wild life just some ducks; but they were different from any I had ever seen before. I also learned about Wood Frogs that turn their body fluids to sugar and they freeze during the winter in the snow and ice and for all essential purposes they die, but as soon as the snow melts it comes alive in within a couple hours hops away. I thought that that was really crazy.
